Washington DC March 15-27: First Large Gathering of Kashmiri's in North America.
A small group of Kashmiri families came together to establish KGNA
KGNA Founded 501(c)(3) Status
Received official nonprofit recognition from the IRS
Philadelphia April 14-16: KGNA's 1st official meeting.
Hosted our first large-scale gathering with 500+ attendees
Los Angeles June 29-July 2: KGNA's 2nd official meeting.
Over 500+ Attend.
Buffalo July 28-31: KGNA's 3rd official meeting.

Our Leadership Team
KGNA is run by an elected volunteer board that oversees our programs, finances, and community initiatives.
KGNA is governed by a volunteer board of officers elected by the membership to two-year terms. The board meets quarterly, sets program priorities, and is accountable to the membership for how funds are raised and spent. Officers serve without compensation, and no board member may vote on a matter in which they have a personal interest. Members are welcome to contact the board at info@kgna.us.
President
Sets strategic direction, chairs board meetings, and represents KGNA to partner organizations.
Vice President
Supports the president, deputizes when needed, and leads community outreach.
Secretary
Maintains records and meeting minutes, and handles membership correspondence.
Treasurer
Oversees funds, financial reporting, and our annual filing obligations.
Cultural Programs Board Liaison
Plans and runs our cultural festivals, workshops, and community gatherings.
Youth Programs Board Liaison
Leads youth programs that connect the next generation to their heritage.
Kashmiri Language Board Liaison
Leads language classes that connect the next generation to their heritage
Professional Development Board Liaison
Plans and runs networking workshops, career development and mentoring.
Social Development Board Liaison
Leads Kashmiri social groups across North America.
